Dominoes: 42 Variations

Moon
Moon is a three player variation of 42. There are no teams, each player is on their own.
To setup, remove all the blanks except the double blank; leaving 22 dominoes.

Shuffle and draw is as in 42 with each player getting seven dominoes; leaving one called the Widow.
The player that gets the bid can use the Widow to try and make a better hand by exchanging one domino.

Bidding is in tricks and goes from 4 to 7, plus 21 (called "Shoot the Moon", requires taking all 7 tricks).
Play continues until a player reaches 21.

Going set causes you to lose as many points as you bid (if you go negative they are called hickeys)
and other players get points for any tricks they caught. Otherwise, the bidding player scores the bid.
